9 months young

Well, here we are at 9 months old. Can you believe it, my friends? Almost 4000 pictures later, 5000 hits to the blog, and countless amusing little anectodes that no doubt will show up to embarrass me sooner or later.

Anyhoo - I spent the morning just chilling with my friend "Dog" who got lost in Norway, but when he came back, he had a matching sweater to mine. Cool, no?

At the pediatrician, it turns out that I'm still on the small side (10% and 15% percentile for weight and height), but have a huge, honking head at the 75% percentile. The doc says not to worry and that kids go through spurts and slowdowns. I'm not anemic, and I'm in great shape - just shaped like a lollipop with this big head... (and wouldn't you rather have a big head and a small body than the other way around?)

I'm scooting all over the floor - I particularly like chasing the cats. Sam let me play with him for a while on Friday, but then I started dragging him across the floor by his tail, and that was too much for him.

The social calendar is filling up for the spring - "Babe" is coming in 2 weeks, and then Farmor and Grampa make an appearance in March. No big trips planned for me yet, but there just might be one to Norway this summer.

I've rambled long enough now. Hope everyone is well.

Love, D.

Dear Daniel,

Happy 9 months old! The sweater Farmor knitted you (and your puppy dog)is great. My mom used to knit like that until she got macular degeneration (eye problems). She still knits, but not that fancy of a stitch. Your Uncle A.J. used to have happy feet and hands when he got excited. Can't wait to see the video.

I'm glad you'll be rooting for the Seattle Seahawks for Super Bowl. I was going to root for Denver if the Seahawks didn't make it. Love, Karla
