ho ho ho

Howdy Friends!
First of all - thanks for all of your notes and emails. I'm not all that good about writing back, but I sure appreciate the thought.
I have a couple of bruises on my forehead, because I've started to launch forward from a sitting position to a crawling one. I can almost catch myself, but not quite, so I've banged the noggin into the floor a couple of times. No fun. I'm doing the "wounded soldier" crawl all over the place, and I'm so close to a real crawl that I can smell it, but not quite yet...
Since I'm on the bad news update, I had a bit of a stomache flu on Sunday. It was so bad that I had to skip our christmas brunch with friends. Sorry, friends! I seem to be over it now, but the projectile vomiting was no fun.
Let's see - my new passport is "in the mail", they say, and Thursday I get a new cast, for sure. So there will probably be another message this week. Friday I go to Houston. Boy, that's a lot of travel in my future. Makes me tired just thinking of it, so I'm taking a nap.
Love, D.

Dear Daniel,Sorry to hear about your "bumps"- unfortunatly it is one of those things you have to go through.....soon you will just be crawling all over the place.
We are counting the days now until you get here but in the meantime have a safe and good trip to Houston. Love from farmor
Hello Daniel, I'm really sorry that I won't be in Houston this weekend. I would probably have gone back if I'd known I might get to see you.
Hope you receive your passport in time. As well as what I will be mailing you. Hope you have the best 1st Christmas a little boy ever had, with your cousins, Farmor, Papa Jack, Auntie Sara, and Uncle Michael. Give them all my best wishes. Love you much.
Babe
Daniel -
We're sorry you've started to learn some hard lessons in life - falling on your forehead does hurt. We (Emily and Katie) should know. Thanks for keeping us updated on what's going on in your world and we hope that you have a safe and wonderful first Christmas abroad.
Love your cousins,
Emily and Katie
PS - We're glad your parents have a good sense of humor and we hope you enjoy the holiday package (photos included) we sent last week.
Go Ducks!
